Welcome to the Garden of Eatin'
Long Beach is a lush patchwork of gardens and green spaces, bursting with wildcrafting opportunities and natural abundance.
Though our city might appear as a sprawling, asphalt spaghettiopolis of streets and overpasses beneath the port’s industrial gaze, pockets of calm and beauty bloom here, in the shady groves of citrus trees and among the flowers sprouting from cracks and corners. Here, hundreds of green-thumbed Long Beachers from all corners of the globe share sun-kissed produce and delicious food cultures.
In 2025, LB Fresh’s Garden of Eatin’ program invites more Long Beachians to break free from their cars and cubicles and step into the often-hidden flood of nature right here in our city.
We’re teaming up with local farms and gardens to bring these secret green spaces to life, making them vibrant places for all to enjoy.
For visitors, check our social media for updates on events, and reach out if you’d like to share your talents in our gardens or become a garden guide, bringing friends, neighbors, and groups to our greener pastures.
For local gardens and farms, partner with us to welcome new faces to your home turf, and let’s cook up more ways to connect fellow Long Beachers to the good stuff you’re growing!
The Garden of Eatin' is made possible by support from the Adams Legacy Foundation.
